The beauty of Dartmoor is outstanding , whatever the weather. I regularly walk and ride across the Moors. Often its the change in the weather systems when you witness the remarkable beauty and peace of nature.
 This  slate painting,  is in ink , pastels, and acrylic. I sat on the Dartmoor hillside towards Mardon Down. The evening light was dancing across the top of the trees, highlighting the hills. It was a race against time as the light was fading fast. 
The last hour of light can be the most beautiful casting long shadows and adding a radiance to the landscape.
